About me

Hello! My name is Meera Nemali and I am a senior at Wesleyan University. I am majoring in Environmental Studies and Anthropology. After I graduate, I am hoping to work within the environmental sector, primarily aiding cities (and those within them) on creating sustainable living practices and building resilience from the ground up against climate disasters.  

My experience at The Resource Center on campus has strengthened my planning, coordinating, and collaboration skills. I have been able to work with people from diverse backgrounds and communicate effectively in all kinds of circumstances. Additionally, my internship at the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) has broadened my understanding of the kind of work that goes into municipal environmental work. I assisted my supervisor (virtually) with various assignments for over six months that allowed me to cultivate a relationship with her and her department.
